@giuliomoro
can you try the following for me, if you find the time? :
-run the fat plugin alongside some other plugins in a chain (i used the calf compressor and a reverb from guitarix (guitarix-plugins is a deb package as well) and the tap-plugins doubler.
do you also get underruns?
i start to get underruns if i go above 50-55% cpu with block size at 64. is this because again the fat plugin is spiking the CPU? it is funny because i get the exact same behaviour with my pd heavy patch, above 50-55% CPU it starts to generate underruns. it seems i can never pass those 55% without underruns :-)
would the solution be to outsource some part of the fat plugin to a worker thread so as to not spike the cpu?
a related question... is it worth the trouble to build the calf and guitarix plugins from source with all the optimisations i posted earlier? or are the armhf packages already as optimised as can be?
i succesfully compiled the tap-lv2 (from mod sources), the invada stuff, zam-audio and the steve harris plugins with the optimisations level, but that was because they were not available as deb package (tap-plugins only as ladspa version)
