question!
i need to store about 300 sound files, totalling well over 20GB.
only one file will be playing at a time, to be randomly selected and run at the press of a button. i'll be using Pd.
on a Bela, i would probably run the program from the eMMC and load audiofiles from an external SDcard.
but as i was planning on running this on a Bela Mini, i was wondering what the most efficient (and errorproof) way of doing this is?
i can come up with two options -
1) run/store everything using a 32GB SDcard (which i have here)
2) run program on SD and read files from USBstick.
for 1) i think i would need to repartition the card, since i can only access BELABOOT and that is 4GB in size - can't seem tot access the other 28GB?
for 2) i would need to figure out how to mount a thumbdrive on every startup, but i'm guessing it's similar to
https://forum.bela.io/d/1106-reading-audio-from-sd-card.
any ideas on what would be best?
the whole thing is to be mounted in an enclosure and stay there forever, so the less prone to failure it is the better π
