Yes. that is explained here, but it's not extremely easy. Do not worry if you had only a few MB left on BELABOOT, however: the actual main storage partition is not visible from the host, and there are over 1.5GB available in there. So following the procedure described at that URL is normally only needed if you need to store several GBs of audio samples or similar.

Hello...I think my bootloader might be out of date on my BBB. Could this be an issue?

    Seth

P.S. I followed the section of the guide that explains how to erase the contents of the eMMC so BELA IDE can boot.

I asked and said that b/c I can sign in via terminal now but not via the IDE.

if you had a v0.3.7d image on the eMMC, then there is no need to go through the bootloader update procedure. You can just flash an SD card and insert it and it will boot from it.

    And...

Just to confirm, the files are now on my board under:

    /libraries/AudioFile/

    Seth

P.S. I cannot use the IDE, though. I am automatically signed in now. This is nice but I am sort of stuck w/out the IDE. Do I need it?

And...no sir. The v0.3.7d image was not on my eMMC. It was only on the SD Card.

      silver2row /libraries/AudioFile/

      they should be in/root/Bela/libraries/AudioFile.

silver2row I cannot use the IDE, though. I am automatically signed in now. T

what does this mean?? The IDE is the more accessible front-end for developing on Bela, it is used throughout the C+ course you are following on youtube: I'd recommend to get it working. What do you mean you are stuck without the IDE?

        Hello,

I went to 192.168.6.2 on my Win 10 desktop. The IDE does not show up like it used to show. I tried Edge and Chrome. Both were working before and now do not allow me to access the board.

Right. The files are at /root/Bela/libraries/AudioFile now.

Okay, So. What now? I think I should try to update the bootloader or burn the image to eMMC now. What do you think I should do?

        Seth

          giuliomoro

Hello. Sorry. The last image was not burned to the eMMC. I just erased everything on the eMMC to get the board to boot by SD Card.

I am automatically signed in to the Terminal now and not the IDE. The IDE does not work on this version w/ my current config.

          Seth

P.S. Should I try to update the bootloader or flash the eMMC?

silver2row I went to 192.168.6.2 on my Win 10 desktop.

can you try the address http://bela.local ?

silver2row I think I should try to update the bootloader or burn the image to eMMC now

no need for that. Regardless of what you have on the eMMC, it must be recent enough if the SD card indeed works.

silver2row I am automatically signed in to the Terminal now and not the IDE.

What does "automatically signed in" mean? What command do you use to log in via ssh ?

              giuliomoro

              Hello,

I am on a Win 10 machine w/ PuTTY as my terminal. So, I type root@bela.local and it signs me in automatically w/out password or anything else, i.e. username.

Well, this is good news. The IDE works again! So, the suffix slash was what I needed, e.g. http://bela.local/

              Seth

P.S. Should I attempt the update of the .zip files or should I leave everything now as is?

silver2row no need to go through the "update board" procedure. Now you can just drag on the IDE the zip archives containing the projects.

                  giuliomoro

Yes sir. 10-4, good buddy. Thank you.

                  Seth

P.S. I think my issue was something new to me and I was not prepared. Thank you again.

                  giuliomoro

I finally got the Shepard Risset to work. Nice!

                  Seth

P.S. It helps when someone elevates their tone when the sound is being performed! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!
