More Belas/plans for the future?

I really like my Bela and regret getting just one. I've started working on a project and I want to work with a buddy to fix some code issues from my hamfistedness, but I'm not sure when he can buy a Bela. Any updates on that?

Also, do you have any plans to release Bela as a self contained thing? I'd love to be able to embed it in a euro module. Something like the Pi compute module, but Beaglebone based and a Bela integrated?

We're getting ready to release the next batch of capes, it should be happening within the next 2 or 3 weeks. Sign up to the mailing list to hear about it first.

As for the future, we are discussing this at moment, and an embeddable compute-module style Bela is something we are considering. It's still early days though, and the current BeagleBone-based cape is what Bela will be for the foreseeable future.

Yes, the BeagleBone Wireless. Someone may be giving it a try: https://forum.bela.io/d/200-beaglebone-black-wireless/3 .
Unfortunately Texas Instrument is not going to design a replacement for the AM3358x CPU and/or a "BeagleBone 2", so all the various "BeagleBone xxx" all have the exactly same CPU specs and each has its own additional hardware on board. The Wireless is based on a BeagleBone-on-a-chip which is a new chip designed to make easy to "make your own BeagleBone", by including most external components of the BBB within the chip.
