Hi,
I received CTAG Face Starter Kit (https://shop.bela.io/ctag/ctag-face-kit) two days ago and want to it up working with standard Linux application using ALSA with jackd (jackaudio.org) running on top of ALSA. But failed! Here is what I did

The OS I use is Bela v0.3.6 (October 5, 2018)

Hardware-wise I connect the USB cable come with the package to my Windows 10 Laptop, it is a pretty new Dell XPS13 which USB port should be powerful enough, after insert the SD-card loaded with Bela v0.3.6, I insert the other end to the micro-USB port on the BBB, and instantly light up few blue LED which means it is booting up normally, the CTAG Face has two yellow LED light up permanently too. About 90 seconds after plugged in USB cable a new virtual network interface appear in Windows, 192.168.6.1, that means 192.168.6.2 is available for SSH access. I use PuTTY initiate SSH section to 192.168.6.2 as root and succeeded with login, there is no password prompt I straight into root command line.
Initial check shown that ALSA has no sound card, "aplay -l" empty list.

I found the instruction
- Load driver to the CTAG Face cape
sudo echo BB-CTAG-SW-8CH > /sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr/slots
echo: write error: No such file or directory
I checked /lib/fireware/ and found no file BB-CTAG-SW-8CH.dtbo
I search all files and realises there are some CTAG related *.dtbo
/root/Bela/resources/ctag/BELA-CTAG-00A0.dtbo (note that on github it appear like one year ago)
anyways I try it
first copy
cp /root/Bela/resources/ctag/BELA-CTAG-00A0.dtbo /lib/firmware
sudo echo BELA-CTAG > /sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr/slots
echo: write error: Invalid argument
- Another time I try the following because /lib/firmware/BB-BELA-CTAG-SPI.dtbo exist,
sudo echo BB-BELA-CTAG-SPI > /sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr/slots
aplay -l
* List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices *
- Another file exist in /opt, but I don't think I have the luck so skip
/opt/bb.org-overlays/src/arm/BB-BELA-CTAG-SPI-00A0.dts
- I double check the hardware it looks good

I think I tried everything but ALSA still report no audio card, please help!
