back to supercollider today π
Im using with scide remotely, as I want to play with using Salt in a 'Live Coding' context...
and whilst setting up, I vaguely remembered chat of putting the Bela classes on the mac, so SCIde knew about them (for code completion/help) , and it took me a whilst to track down the info again π
so for those that need to know, its here
https://github.com/sensestage/bela-remote
But I noticed its a bit out of date... so I had to update manually.
so that made me wonder @giuliomoro
perhaps when you build SuperCollider for Bela, you could copy out the relevant files (Bela ugen/ and help files) and put them in a zip file that could be copied from the bela to your local machine.
this would mean they would also be up to date
also, perhaps a quite SC script like the following, as an example for the client side, might be useful for beginners.
s = Server.remote("aServer", NetAddr("salt.local", 57110),nil, 1);
Server.default=s;
s.plotTree
( I guess a better example with audio IO would be useful, but its just to show how to adapt the examples to run on a client machine)
then someone new to SC/bela, basically the instructions would read
a) copy zip to local machine, open user support folder in SC, unzip file
b) start remote SC script on bela
c) use client SC script
anyway, would love to hear if anyone else is playing with live coding with bela/salt
(p.s. I wonder if this entire thread, might be better in Software/Supercollider ?)
