Hi has anyone done this.
I tried the the 3.7 lipo solution but really want to use the analog inputs so now need a 5V solution.
I read somewhere that the bela consumrs 400mAh so I was thinking 4x1.5 AA batteries at 2000mAh would give give me 2 or 3 hours use which would be great.

But not sure if its tried and tested. Has anyone any experience of this? do I need a regulator to get it down to 5V

I would like to power my bela mini instrument with a small 5volt solution so any other tips welcome

Best wishes
Simon

Ah thanks I will do some investigating. Does that mean you could still charge it from the USB but also use it as a 5V supply? Whats wrong with the humble AA... Just not enough mAh?

Thanks

6V may is too much for at least some of the power inputs on Bela. Nothing that couldn't be resolved by a series diode. If using 1.2V Ni-Mh batteries, that gives 4.8V at full charge, which is probably good enough, though it gets worse when they start draining.

Possibly, depending on the exact product and wiring
