i am planning to use Bela as a tool for the following project:
a) Pure Data Oscillators, LFOs, Envelopes and triggers should modulate a modular synth.
I want to replace all the hardware modulation sources with this.
b) Connecting the MidiBox Seq4 via Ethernet to Bela, communicating via OSC.
The Sequencer sends Midi on/off velocity ect.
c) Connecting the BCR2000 via USB to Bela, communicating via USBmidi bi-directional.
This is for controlling the patches and displaying the status (LED-rings & display).
I am expecting:
fast response / low latency,
low jitter,
small size,
cheap,
midisync,
patch storage,
flexibility,
precision ...
My questions are:
1)
You always have to compile the PD-Patches with heavy or libpd,
and can not run the PD-patches directly on Bela, don't you?
- Even for sculpting and debugging?
But in the Dark Energy example video you are live-patching?
2)
Would I have faster latency / response with the whole system (Bela, PD, Ethernet-OSC, analog/digital outs) compared to a MidiBox Seq -> Linux Desktop Computer with Expert Sleepers?
So it's worth the hassle? As i am not using the low latency analog inputs?

Bela in Eurorack environment has already been done.
Can you point me to schematics
for the analog and digital outs->eurorack?

How would it be possible to have more analog outputs in high quality?
Out of experience, are 22050 Hz sampling rate enough for modulation sources in the modular world?
Even for sine wave modulations in audio rate? Are you hearing a difference compared to 44100 Hz as modulation source?
And can I chain multiple Beagles for more CPU/Memory/IO power?

Are you expecting jitter (for clock and gates)?

this is possible?
BCR2000 is a class compliant USB controller.
