giuliomoro I have tried both plugging headphones directly into the capelet's output channels and also by plugging headphones into an amplifier (which is connected to the Bela through a 3.5>3.5mm cable).
Yes, I hear a high-frequency hissing sound that starts when the sample program (i.e., the code you sent) starts, and stops when the program stops. Changing the frequency of the pitch in the sample program does not change the frequency of the hissing sound?
Re the code, your explanation makes a lot of sense, thanks. I ask because I would like to read from a sensor (sampled at the audio/digital frame rate) and output a tone to the capelet (sampled at half that rate) whenever a tap is detected on the sensor. I would like to do this in the same loop (the audio loop) and it seems that your code provides a good solution for this. It is good to know that this works in principle!
