Hello, I am using a Bela for an experiment in which I need Bela and my computer to exchange data in real-time (just few numbers for parameter of experiment trials).
Since the data will be used by Matlab on the computer side I tried the solution using UDP proposed in the following conversation: https://forum.bela.io/d/847-write-file-in-a-real-time-manner/16. However I couldn't make it work. UDP works on each side but I can't get them to communicate. I am not using ethernet cable, only the USB port. All firewalls are down. I am on a MAC. I used the port number in the example. Basically when I make Bela send data via UDP and Matlab waiting to receive any, while codes run on both sides, Matlab never receives any data and gives a warning every timeout period saying that no data was received within the timeout window. I have tried on each side to send and receive in the same code and it works fine. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?
The other solution I was thinking about was to make Bela and my computer write and read on the same file, whether located on Bela disk or the computer disk. I am looking for c++ code versions of the IDE button "download" and "upload" or something else that would allow me to write from Bela in a file on my computer. Is it possible? If yes how?
Thanks in advance for any help.
