Dear all,
My project is currently tested on a club's big sound system and there's apparently a trouble of saturation on the output.
The project is basically a multi-effect voice modulator. Even when everyting is off (passthrough), the gain is too high. The chain is : microphone (SM58) -> preamp -> mono input -> pd compiled in c++ -> mono output.
The sound signal is going straight to bela and same way out. There's no other hardware things in between.
I will drive to the club this afternoon to try to solve the issue.
I have two things in mind that could explain the thing :
1/ The bela's pga wrongly configured : a) if I want to have a proper line level should-it be at 0 ?
b) How do I make sure the project is well boot with the right pga set up ?
2/ I might have made a wrong output wiring : it's a female 6,3mm where I've soldered together the right and left output. Is that a mistake ?
If I wrote "help" in the subject it's that the musician I'm working for is in a residency at a Club where we have the possibility to test my project with a professional sound system. This won't happen very often.
So if there's a kind person willing to lighten me, I would be more that grateful
See you !
