I'm trying to use the line output headers on my Bela minis. These are more useful than the headphone outputs for my currents projects.
However I can't seem to get them to work as expected! I'm using a stereo jack socket connector, connecting the sleeve to the ground pin of the line output header on the Bela, and the tip and ring pins to L and R.
I'm connecting this socket to a stereo amp using a TRS jack cable.
For some reason when I connect it to my amp, if I have both L and R connected it completely turns off the output so it goes completely quiet. If I disconnect either the L or R pin on the Bela line output it works fine (with only one channel, of course). But with both connected it doesn't work at all.
The headphone output on the Bela works as expected. I'm having the same issue with two different Belas, so I'm clearly just doing something wrong!
The amp is definitely connected correctly, I am able to test it with my phone. This feels extremely basic, I think I'm missing something obvious...
