Hey guys, I bought a BBB and got Bela installed. I have a large project i've been working on for years that I want to use it for. (anybody in the U.S. have a cape for sale?) I am getting build errors and I am assuming they are due to not having a cape installed. I really want to see the cpu usage for the project. Is there any way to suppress the errors and get dsp working well enough to do so? can any other audio io hardware (usb) be used to get it running?
Hoping capes are available soon. Thanks.

Hmmm... we haven't looked into "emulating" the cape for these purposes.
If you flash the Bela image on an SD card the projects will compile, but executing them is a different story: the program will fail because the codec cannot be initialized. Hacking the core code would allow you to bypass this and also call the callback at the designated intervals.
On the other hand capes should be available for sale very soon, so it may just be worth waiting a few days instead.

Any update on the # of days until we can grab more?

The website still says "late summer." You might want to update that.

The sun is still out in London, so it's still summer to us 😛
