I've got an unused Beaglebone Black and I've ordered a Bela Cape for it. The memory chip onboard the BBB is 4GB so it seems that this is Revision C.
I'd like to build a Bela image for it, but I'm unsure about some details. This is going to be an ancient version of Debian, so if I build the image onboard I'll first have to install a recent Debian release just to support the build. So I'll go to a Debian repository for BBB and update the onboard system. Then I'll go to BelaPlatform on github and download the bela-image-builder and run it on my BBB.
Is that correct? If so, can I run this while I wait for the Bela Cape to arrive or does it need the cape to be online to run successfully?
