I was unable to connect to the IDE when i first received my Bela, but after updating OSX to 10.11.6 everything worked as expected.

Incidentally, I was on 10.11.3 for a long time and always managed to connect, sometimes by manually unloading / loading the kernel extensions.
10.11.2 and earlier were just a hell instead!

It looks like I have same problem: I try to use my Bela, but it don't works,
I can open the IDE, but after it:
- I don't see all examples
- If i write code, nothing "move" after pushing start button.

I was trying to update the SD carde, but I have error messages.
I even trying another SD card, but without any changes.
Finally, it's like the bela card don't works...

So to resume, is it because my Mac OS is 10.9.5 (and Safari 7.0.6) ?

RPA the problem is probably that you are using Safari 7, that is a pretty old browser.

I would recommend trying Chrome or Firefox, or if that's not feasible upgrading to a more recent version of Safari.

I am only starting and on 10.9.5, but actually it seems to work fine with the IDE running in Chrome. It likes to hang, when uploading pure data files, but usually a reload of the IDE solves that.

I tried Firefox 50, not working here on 10.9.5, but Chrome 47.0.2526.73 (64-bit) does work.

Correction. Firefox 50 works actually BETTER here. Chrome has me reload the page every time after i upload a file, this bug doesn't appear in FF 50.

Ha, that leads to a longer discussion on why to update at all, other than mostly paying additional fees for regaining functionality (e.g. other software updates), that was already present before 😉 Great to work with Bela by the way. Thanx for all the work you guys do!
