giuliomoro hi there, back in the office today after submitting PhD on Friday.
giuliomoro This means that it is not a problem with your board, and it's either a problem with the PocketBeagle or with our board
That's a bummer. I'm surprised I'm the first one to test out this functionality! Given the audio possibilities with Bela I had assumed this was well trodden territory. Hopefully it can be addressed with a firmware update - though, I suppose, I'm not opposed to kludging something if need be. I'll keep following the thread for any updates!
giuliomoro In the meantime, for the purpose of your project, could you consider the possibility of powering via the USB connector?
The goal with adding the midi functionality was to make it super flexible - i.e. able to communicate with a PC based DAW via micro USB, able to act as midi host with a stand alone midi controller (like the Pyramid) via USB A, and to have CV & Expression jacks as well to work with modular or expression pedals.
I think in the short term I could hack something together with a micro USB splitter - chop one end off and send just power & ground to my stepdown and use the other end to receive just data and cut the power line on that side.
giuliomoro tomorrow I will try a couple more software solution. There is also a possible hardware solution. but it requires lifting one pad of the USB port. Are you confident with the soldering iron?
Hopefully a software solution can be found - but I am fairly confident with a soldering iron. I'm a modular synthesizer nerd and have built a TTSH (https://synthcube.com/cart/ttsh-v4) among other things...
