The eMMC (internal memory) on Bela is 4GB, and that has to contain all the operating system and programs (leaving about 1GB available), so your files will not fit. If your Bela came with an SD card, the SD card itself is probably at least 8GB, but the actual size of the partition will still be 4GB, so first thing you will need to resize the partition on the SD card. In order to access the board via the terminal and perform this task, you can download the Putty ssh
client for Windows: https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html . Get the one of the.msi
packages at the top, as they (should) contain both putty
and pscp
which we will be using for the actual copy.
First off, you need a Bela SD card. If you don't have it, get an SD card, download the latest release and follow the instructions there to flash it to the SD card. Once that is done, insert the SD card and boot up the board.
Open putty
, and set it to connect to the board, which has hostname: 192.168.6.2
and username root
. There is no password needed. Once you are displayed the prompt from the board, i.e.: root@bela #
, then you are ready to start following the instructions here are the instruction to do it.
Last, copying the files: open a terminal on your computer and use cd
to browse to the folder containing the files you want to copy. From there, you can use the pscp
command to copy the files to the board:
pscp -r *.wav root@192.168.7.2:
where I assume that all of your files are called "something.wav".
