Solid Blue Light, GEM multi not booting

Hi,

First try at booting up new Bela GEM multi, used bb-imager-gui AppImage to flash sd card. Plugged in and I see the Pocket Beagle 2 is active, solid red and flashing green leds. But it has been 10 minutes now and the blue light on the Bela is still not blinking. I can see I have a wired connection available, but no joy at bela.local...

Not sure where to go from here!

Can you show a picture? One of the two blue LEDs should turn on immediately as soon as power is connected and start blinking within 10 seconds.

Hopefully that works? Is dark up here as I'm shielding windows against the heat. You can't see the little green flickering led across from the red, but the blue led, above the red, is the only one I can see on the GEM, it comes on pretty much immediately but it stays solidly lit - has been on for minutes, again I can see a wired connection available but no other action.

What image did you flash on it ? The behaviour you describe is compatible with having flashed a non-Bela image: the board boots but the Bela-specific bits (blinking blue LED and bela.local) don't work. What is the name of the wired connection? Try going to http://beaglebone.local : if that succeeds it confirms you used the wrong image. Even if it doesn't succeed, try reflashing the SD card making sure you select the Bela image:

I'm awfully sorry I didn't read the getting started instructions closely enough - I had just flashed the first image that popped up, seeing it was recommened by the app.

So yes, I flashed a non-Bela image, all is good now I've flashed the correct one!
