Power on and off in standalone mode

I am planning to use the Bela as standalone powered via wal wart AC DC adapter 5VDC, without computer, browser IDE etc. for an exhibition.
I am concerned by the fact that I won't have the possibilty at first glance to unmount (shut off) the Bela/Beaglebone Black before powering off like I can do via IDE.
How to do without computer?

Hold press the button on the cape to do a graceful shutdown. If the button is hard to reach within an enclosure, you can access its pin via the header and install an external button.

I haven't updated that for Gem yet, but it's basically the same except the boot partition is /dev/mmcblk1p1 and the user partition is /dev/mmcblk1p3
