Soldering or connecting to Bela Gem Stereo

I am completing a project with permanent enclosure that has the Bela Gem Stereo mounted inside. I need to connect to: 7 GPIO's for input, +3v, ground, I2c bus, audio out to a 1/4 jack.
I got these cables terminated with pins, but they don't feel like a snug fit, and am thinking of something more permanent. What are options for connecting? I was thinking of some pin headers like this https://a.co/d/0an1g6fH
and soldering to the top of those, but was wondering what other ideas people have.

You could use those headers and solder them to some perfboard to them for your connections. I wouldn't advise soldering wires directly to the pin headers.
