My prototype midi controller is moving past the bread board stage and I just remembered I can daisy chain up to 9 sensors to each other to make the wiring simpler. Then I'd only have to connect the first sensor to my arduino. (I'm only using 4 sensors at the moment)
But each Trill only has one female Qwiic connector. So how do you daisy chain them? Other ic2 compatible devices seem to often have two connectors to facilitate connecting a few in series.
I figured there might be Y connector cables to make this easier, but I don't see such a thing searching around for parts. I could certainly make my own by soldering together a few M2M connectors. Or I could cut the M2M cables and solder them to the board pads. But I want to be able to connect or disconnect the sensors and not solder them together until I'm further along. I have a Trill Hub, but I want to save that for when I try to create something larger.
My question is whether Y connectors are the way to do it or whether there better ways to interconnect the sensors?
Thx!
