resynth Mornin' Super excited to receive my Gem Stereo but I'm not doing too well flashing the image, it fails Etchers image verification and the IDE doesn't load. Has anyone else had any issues? I'm running out of things to try. I've tried 2 different new micro SD cards from different vendors, a Samsung Pro Endurance and a Kingston Canvas. Both 32GB as it seems 16GB hard to come by these days. I've tried the Gem images from https://limewire.com/d/RpQeM#pLxdMVMJSv and from https://github.com/BelaPlatform/gem-image-builder/releases/tag/v1.0.0 I'm using Balena Etcher v2.1.4 (2025-07-29) in an up-to-date Ubuntu 24.04 on a Lenovo T530, using the built-in SD card reader.
giuliomoro somehow etcher causes problems with xz-zipped images ... I think if you uncompress it first it should work fine. See the recommended tools here anyhow https://learn.bela.io/get-started-guide/bela-gem-get-started/ . You should be able to use dd or bb-imager-rs just fine
