What sample rates can the Bela Gem hardware handle?

I just got my Bela Gem up and running about half an hour ago - everything looks awesome! In looking at the settings, I noticed that the sample rate can go up to 96000. Can the audio hardware handle that? I have some code that's capable of generating samples that fast (and faster - think digital differential analyzers) so it would be nice to have that option.

Yes that's the audio sample rate you are setting there. It can probably reach slightly more. The maximum rate at which you can push the code right now is 106kHz (add a custom command line option -r 106000), though the main codec's datasheet states 96kHz as the max.

Note that above 53 kHz, the analog-to-audio ratio will be cut in half, as the analog inputs' sampling rate is limited at 250ksps across all channels (see [here]https://learn.bela.io/get-started-guide/migrating-to-bela-gem/#c-the-default-analog-sampling-rate-has-changed) for more details).
The digital pins are still always sampled at audio rate, so you get a 106kHz digital input as well.

Thanks! I'm not contemplating any audio input at the moment but I do plan to drive the DAC as fast as the signal chain can handle it reliably.
