No pulsing light on bela mini

Hi Folks, just got a bela mini and tried to follow the RNBO tutorial found here: https://learn.bela.io/using-bela/languages/rnbo/
After step 1, dragging the zip file over, the device became unresponsive. Blue light is on, but no pulsing light. Tried reflashing the SD card, same behavior.
Any thoughts on how to get this device working? thanks!

Hi there, where did you get the mini from?

Did you have anything plugged into the board? Was it perhaps resting on a metal surface?

giuliomoro Hi, got the mini from bela.io. It was on a piece of paper on my plastic desk. I had a trill felx sensor connected to it and headphones.

Bela mini hasn't been sold in over six months, though, so where/when did you purchase it?

Did you try removing the trill flex and headphones and boot it again?
This is either a hardware failure of the bela mini or of the sd card, none of which should have been caused by dragging zip file over ... If you have a different SD card around, could you try flashing that instead?

Purchased from bela.io, as stateted previously, in March. Just got to using the mini for the first time today. I did try removing all connected devices, same behavior. Tried different SD card, same behavior.
