MPU6050 + SuperCollider

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to use the MPU-6050 with Bela and would like to connect with SC. For that i tried to put the zip.file, that can be downloaded in this link: https://github.com/giuliomoro/mpu6050-bela?tab=readme-ov-file

But i got the following errors:

I don't have much coding experience, so I'm having difficulty understanding what this means or how to fix it.

My goal is to get the all 6 values (accel + gyro) and use them with SuperCollider on Bela. Is there a recommended way to use MPU-6050 with the I2C API, or a minimal example showing how to send the sensor values into SuperCollider?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

right, you need to update your board to the dev branch for it to work with this code, see "updating to an experimental release" here: https://learn.bela.io/using-bela/bela-techniques/updating-bela/#updating-to-an-experimental-releas

Thank you for your reply!
I updated my board to the dev branch and tried again.
The previous build errors are gone, but now I’m facing a new issue.

I connected the sensor as follows:

VCC → 3.3V
GND → GND
SCL → P9.24
SDA → P9.26
AD0 → GND

However, I still get the following error on the console:

Could you give to me any suggestions on what I could try next?

I also tried both default address options in the code: 0x68, 0x69

Can you run i2cdetect -y -r 1 in the console at the bottom of the IDE and show the result?

I sent an update to the dev branch, can you try updating to it again and show the error you get while running again?

I updated my board with dev branch but have still same error like this 🙁 ..

so it no longer prints the "Failed to do ioctl ... " messages?

Yes just got the message 'MPU6050 connection failed'

Try getting the code from the MPU6050 repo again: I have added some further prints for debugging.
