Connection between computer and trill issue

Hello,
We purshased a Trill Craft sensor in order to make a finger sensor for our sewing machine but when we try to initialiase it with our Arduino Mega 2560, we have an error code on the monitor in which we should've been seeing data sent from the sensor.
To connect the Trill Craft, we followed the instructions on the bela website. Our connection between the arduino card and the computer seems to be okay ; we did a test connection between the arduino card and the computer and that was okay.
Previously we tried the "print-details" and "craft-print" programs but we had an error (it was error number 2) which was about the trill sensor not being initialised (Failed to initialise trill sensor). After that, we went on the Bela forum and we saw that adding pull up resistors between our SDA and SCL ports could help with our issue but it's not even working.
Do you have an idea of the reason we can't connect the trill craft to our computer with an Arduino card ? We would be very grateful for your help.

Several things are out of place here:

Are the wires going into the Trill craft somehow soldered to it? It doesn't look like it. In that case, you won't get a good connection and that's why the device can't be detected. The Trill Craft should have come with a header in the bag that you can solder onto the device if you want to use it on the breadboard.
The Arduino Mega should have 5V logic, so you should use 5V to power the Craft, but it looks like you are using 3.3V.
Also note that the resistors you added are not pull-ups, but are series resistors, which could interfere with the device. You should bypass them.

If things still don't work after rectifying the above, try adding the pullup resistors. These are resistors that go from SCL to 5V and from SDA to 5V. See https://learn.bela.io/using-trill/all-about-i2c/#pull-up-resistors for more details.

Thank you for your help : it's working now! It's wasn't working because of the bad connection between the trill sensor and cables. So we welded it and the problem is now solved! Thank you so much 🙂
