If you're looking to speed up compilation with Bela, here's a post about doing so with distcc which allows Bela to use your laptop's processor to compile projects:
It's a bit more invasive and complex than the "regular" Bela workflow which is why it's not currently in the Wiki / Blog, but I'm sure there's a few folks here who don't mind the extra legwork for the speed gains so thought I'd post it here.
The workflow and original article comes from @giuliomoro, I've just attempted to streamline the instructions.
