Hi, I'm attempting to use an external from the fftease package (leaker~), I was able to download the armv7 version and tried using that linux file in the IDE following some various info I have searched on here, but while I am somewhat experienced with pd my eyes glaze over trying to do any type of programming...if anyone can help point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Should I be able to simply drop the .pd_linux into my IDE pd project (it says error: can't open binary files) and if the rest of my pd patch references it properly it should just work? Or am I missing another piece? Thank you.

Dropping it in the project should be fine. The warning about binary files comes because it automatically tries to open it when it's dropped. You can safely ignore that

When you start the patch, does it give you any "couldn't create" errors?

Hi giuliomoro, thanks for your response. I did get a 'couldn't create' error and it was looking for an associated linux.so file which I dropped in, now I get this when I try to build & run:

This is with just the basic patch. I could be missing something fundamental, appreciate your help

"illegal instructions" should mean that the external was not actually built for armv7, maybe it was armv8? Anyhow, the solution would be to build the externals yourself on the board. Do you have a link to the source? Over here I posted instructions to build many externals that could be of help.
