Using multiple Trill sensors

I've read that you can use one trill sensor, or chain together up to 9 sensors of the same type using the same I2C bus.

Does Bela have more than one I2C bus?

Is I2C multiplexer a viable option to use say up to 20 sensors?

Do you need the sensors to be all of the same type? There's only two I2C busses available.

Yes, I was thinking of using trill bar sensors or maybe trill craft.
Would that mean 9 sensors per I2C bus for a total of 18 sensors maximum?

If say I wanted to use 30 or 40 trill bar sensors, could a I2C multiplexer such as Adafruit TCA9548A 1-to-8 I2C Multiplexer Breakout or the PCA9548 8-Channel STEMMA QT / Qwiic I2C Multiplexer be suitable to get more sensors hooked up?

Also, this would be used with Pd.

if you mix and match sensors then you can use up to 9 of each on each bus, otherwise you'll need an external I2C muxer, yes, where you connect 9 sensors per mux channel. Handling that purely in Pd is a bit complex, it will require a couple of changes to the C++ side of things, but I can help with that.

Ok, thanks for your insights. I now know that it's possible to use many sensors. I'll continue thinking about my application.
