Puredata. A simple wiring issue.

I'm missing something here.

I've go`t a patch

↓
[ in 17 (
↓
[ s bela_setDigital ]
↓
[ r bela_digitalIn17 ]
↓
[ print ]

Whats the correct wiring for getting a signal to 17?

I thought it was

3.3v ----> *thing* -----> pin PD17 (d0?) 
                           | 
                           | 
                           10k
                           | 
                           GND

But when I activate the thing on d0, it shorts the Bela and has to do a cold start to work again

3v3---10k---input
Then you can short input to ground.

Alternatively
Gnd---10k---input
Then you can short input to 3v3

The trick is to never short gnd to 3v3

Where does the thing go in that list here

3v3---10k---input---thing--gnd ?

The thing turns on the circuit when it's active so it's input -> gnd basically

hang on a second. Let me replace my wires...

We're all good. Wires sucked, must be too old and broken inside, either way, 10k before input worked a charm 😃
