Problem running OLED screen

Hi Giulio and bela team!

I have recently to change the PCB and switch to another minibela from my current instrument and it seems that my OLED doesn't work anymore. I usually have it running on boot to print messages on my instrument. When I try to run the patch I get this message:

'opened i2c file 3
set i2c addr 3c
OscReceiver: Unable to initialise UDP socket: 98 Address already in use'

I am not sure what it means since I haven't changed the code myself. I have only replace the minibela and its PCB

Important info:

The OLED screen is beeing recognized on the same adress as 1x3c
I had to patches on the project folder for OLED , I disable both of them to try to tun manually. This trial didnt work as well.
the new minibela had already some OLED code running on background, but I changed to the current SD card of my isntrument.

This means that there is another application running already bound on the same port. There probably is another instance of the same project running in the background, possibly as a service?

giuliomoro Could you give some steps on how to reinstall ?

I have already runned :

systemctl disable O2O-main

To check backgroun running devices, When I run on linux command 'Run ps aux | grep oled ' I get:

root 3056 0.0 0.2 2076 1148 ? S 10:47 0:00 grep oled

It seems like I need to kill the process with sudo lsof -iUDP:<port_number> But this command doesnt exist on bela.

try netstat -atunp | grep 7562 ( assuming 7562 is the port you are using?)

Hello again!

I am having a different kind of problem with the current setting up system of my OLED Screen system. I am building a new music instrument and for that, I need o follow the OLED Screen installation from the begining (following this tutorial)

But this time, when I run the file I get:

make: *** No rule to make target '/root/Bela/projects/O2OGIULIO/build/u8x8_d_uc1601.o', needed by '/root/Bela/projects/O2OGIULIO/O2OGIULIO'. Stop.

Apperetely that is something related to u8g2. Maybe it is not compatible to the bela latest image? If I try to see inside the directory, I also get an error.

Any idea how to solve this problem? I literally trying to run the same file as this girhub link](https://github.com/giuliomoro/O2O)

I am not sure if these problems are related but I also noticed that my Sc code doesn't have colors anymore. Would this be relate to this problem?

Are you starting from a newly flashed SD card or is this a 5 year old one? Syntax highlighting for scd files was added in October 2020.

giuliomoro I flashed with the latest code of bela. But Apparently there is a difference between the bela master file from the official tutorial on lear.bela.io . I flashed it again and the code seems to have colors again.

Somehow when I'm uploading the zip file of the OLED screen system my bela disconnects very quick. I'm not sure it is uploading the complete file
