Hi!
I will stream sound with a PD patch through a ZTE MU5001 router.
It seems to be recognized by Bela, however I have no access to internet.

Can you see the network configuration on Minit? Did you set up anything manually ? What's it using? Connman, netplan, /etc/network/interfaces? It would be good to see the content of any manually or automatically generated confifguration file

I didn't setup nothing, just plugged the router.
I'm don't know which manager Mint uses. /etc/network/interfaces.d/ is empty.

ok, config files are in /etc/NetworkManager. There is a system-connections directory with .nmconnection file for every connetions, but only wifi...

I think the difference is whether you have it plugged in at boot (in which case it goes to usb0) or not (in which case it goes to usb2). Making it persistent the proper way requires some udev rule magic I think, with which you could assign it an arbitrary persistent name, then in /etc/network/interfaces you can set to look for dhcp (same as eth0 in the same file).

Otherwise (lazy!), this command (run after every reboot) should do:

dhclient $(paste -d " "  - - < <(ip link) | sed s/"^[0-9]\+: "// | grep -v "be:1a" | grep -o "^usb[0-9]\+")

However, if the device shows up as usb0, that will affect the functionality of at least one of the usb0 and usb1 networks (the virtual ethernet ports over USB to the host), so the udev approach for your device is probably preferable.

Ok I think I'm done, tell me if I'm wrong:
I added lines in /etc/network/interfaces :

If I plug it before boot, il will take usb0 config with static IP, and shift both "gadgets" to usb1 and usb2. With the new lines, I SHALL plug the router after boot, but it will always work.

yes that's the easy way around without udev rules

I will keep this solution for now, it is a permanent installation and it will be restarted only for maintenance.
