Bela - Ethernet not connecting

Hello! I am struggling to get my Bela connected up to a router for a project. The ethernet was doing fine until I had configured my DHCP to reserve an IP for my Bela board, and now the eth0 connection won't link up no matter what I do (even when I connect to other ethernet connections) 🙁 I've tried rebooting in various ways to no luck.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Did you change anything to /etc/network/interfaces on Bela?

Can you try running dhclient eth0 after plugging in the ethernet cable?

giuliomoro It returns with no errors but alas, still no connection.

Does the DOWN mean anything here? eth0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state DOWN group default qlen 1000

It should mean it doesn't think there's anyone on the other side of the ethernet cable. I think.

Do you get any lights on the ethernet port?

giuliomoro yeah no lights 🙁 It was working for a bit two days ago but ever since I tried to connect to my router after configuring IP reservation, it hasn't lit up or connected 🙁

the no lights is the concerning bit to me. If you have not changed anything on the board, then I'd assume it should keep working. Maybe you can try flashing an SD card and boot from it just to rule out any possible modifications to the image? see here https://github.com/BelaPlatform/bela-image-builder/releases
