Hey everyone,
Let me just start off by saying that I'm very unexperienced when it comes to embedded computing. I have some experience with MAXmsp/Pure Data and a bit with Supercollider, but working with hardware is still quite new ground for me!
Basically, my idea is to make a sort of simple pad controller (just thinking of one pad for now, using a piezo probably like the tiles project on your website), that triggers a small block of code in SuperCollider, which results in a plucky synth coming out of the Bela's Audio Out. I was hoping to get some input on that idea from people here, and maybe a push in the right direction 🙂
I'm borrowing a Bela from someone, and I know it has the bela image file flashed onto the sd card that's inside. According to the whats_on file it's running version 3.8.13, which should be compatible with supercollider. My first sub-goal is to make a simple SC-patch, like maybe just a sinewave, and have it be audible through the Audio OUT on the Bela. I've been searching the web for the past few hours and while there's quite some info about using the Bela with SC, I'm afraid I just really don't understand most of it at all...
Hope this is all somewhat clear!
Cheers!
Jaap
