Ctag-Beast powering configuration question

Hi,

I am soon about to mount CTAG-Beast to sound installation and probably powering it from the 5v barrel connector. Now if I configure the jumpers so that power comes from the 5v barrel connector will I run trouble connecting to usb-connector if I need to update the patch?

You can leave them to the default setting of usb power and it will keep working even when powered from the barrel jack

Ah ok, Thanks for answering!
Is the jumpers of the power setting made redundant or is there some applications that it would be needed?
