How to change I/O gain on BELA CTAG BEAST?

Any idea how I can control the gain for all 8/16 channels? What's the command in SupperCollider language?

We don't support adjusting the input gain for the CTAG capes, as the AD1938 codec doesn't allow to set that, but you can set the output gain from 0 to -95 dB.

In Supercollider, this option is not exposed so you can only adjust it globally by creating a file /root/.bela/belaconfig and putting this line in it:

CL=-Dx

replacing x wit the desired gain, e.g.:
CL=-D-10 gives you a gain of -10dB.

Hey, That is sad to hear. But What is the standard level setting of Bela CTAG?

I try creating a file a /root/.bela/belaconfig with nano but it sas this location doesn't exist. I have the bela image 'v0.3.8a, 21 June 2020'

Does the command s.options.headphoneLevel = -6; also doesn't work on the CTAG?

Headphone level also is not there: there's no headphones on CTAG!

Just use the gains from within Supercollider: multiply your channels by the desired amount, at the input and/or at the output

As mentioned elsewhere, use mkdir -i /root/.bela to create the folder before you try to create a file within it.
