Hi,
We've been using the bela personally and for teaching for since last summer with great success. This year's cohort are all managing to brick their BBBs and/or Belas. It seems they are somehow frying them whilst driving either a solenoid (using MosFet and diode) or DC motor with an H-bridge, using an external power supply.
Is there a fail safe means to protect the hardware? For example, inserting a low rated resistor and/or diode between bela ins and outs and external power
Many thanks,
Alice
