I've noticed I have some significant dc offset on both audio outputs of 2 seperate bela capes.
Offset levels for cape 1:
Out 1 = 770mV; Out 2 = 130mV;
Out 1 = 300mV; Out 2 = 500mV.
Testing environment is tying both audio inputs to ground, and running a simple (heavy implemented) pd patch passing the inputs directly to the outputs as follows:
All digital and analogue pins are left unconnected, and the behaviour is the same when powered by usb or the dc power jack.
Has anyone else been experiencing something similar? I'm just noticing this now as it's the first time I've been switching between the bela output and other external sources 'live', but I've been using the bela capes for a few months, so it's possible the dc blocking caps have been damaged somehow. If so, what sort of behaviour would have caused this?
The only fix that occurs to me is adding in my own external blocking caps. Any other ideas?
