The forum is unreachable here from Switzerland at least a couple of hours per day, mostly in the afternoon and evenings/night. Is this a known problem?

hmm I never noticed that. Do you know if its's a DNS issue or an issue with the forum server itself?

I don't know. It just tries to load for a very long time (and I usually give up) and spits out a message eventually about an unreachable site... will wait again the next time and post the message here

thanks, I saw your email, too. That looks like a server issue, not a DNS resolution one. I'll run some tests to see if I can detect any chronic malfunctioning.

    Hmmm well it was either an issue with the server or with how your packets attempted to get to the server. The latter could well depend on location, ISP and/or use of VPN.
