You can already use SC through the Bela IDE: you write your SC script in there (one along the lines of this), hit the run button, wait for sclang
to boot, compile the class files, start scsynth
, then your script boots the server and there you are. In less than 30 seconds your program is running.
While this is somehow convenient/acceptable once your program is ready and you want it to start on boot to run the board headless, it is no great for development, as there is no possibility of live-coding through the Bela IDE at the moment.
In fact, the recommended workflow for SC is to start SC on the board (with this), then bring up the SC IDE on your computer and do the usual interactive SC live coding using, e.g.: some of these examples.
