Hi @giuliomoro ,
I'm trying to get wifi/osc to work on Bela Mini, using the official tutorial: https://learn.bela.io/using-bela/bela-techniques/connecting-to-wifi/ . I'm only willing to use it with external router for now, so I'm following the tutorial section named "Setting up your network connection with Wifi" .
I've grabbed the only wifi dongle available at my local store that has Linux support (tp-link TL-WN725N). Everything goes smoothly up to the second half of step 5., where, after running " ifdown wlan0; ifup wlan0; " , I'm getting exactly the same response as vfillion did:
ifdown: interface wlan0 not configured
wpa_supplicant: /sbin/wpa_supplicant daemon failed to start
run-parts: /etc/network/if-pre-up.d/wpasupplicant exited with return code 1
ifup: failed to bring up wlan0
My question is: is it a matter of using an unsupported dongle, or something else might be happening?
If any of the recommended dongles (Ralink RT5370, Ralink MT7601U 148f:7601) is proven to work with Bela out of the box, I'd rather try and buy it, as I'm afraid I might mess up more seriously while trying to install drivers for my current dongle, as I'm famously a dummy for all things related to linux/command line...
