I think this kind of thing works fine, if you supply a template 'rnbopat' file containing comments.
I guess, the main problem with above, is if you start using the bela expander, so number of IO are not at all fixed.
the issue we have at the moment with RNBO is a lot of the meta data is in the json file.
Im contemplating im my project, to have a 'post generator script' , that will create another C++ file from the json, so that my C++ template has access to this date. - this way I think we could tag digital outputs.
its far from ideal... but all we have at the moment.
(and Im not 100% certain that C74 will change this anytime soon... so, it is what it is)
