I am trying to connect Bela to an M2 Macbook Air with no success. Do I have to set anything up on the Mac?

I don't know. I'd expect it to keep working as it used to. Can you show the output of ifconfig from a terminal on your laptop about 1 minute after the board has been plugged in?

oh no Bela there ... what do you get from these other commands?

Also, what version of macos are you running ?

I have gone back to my MacBook Air 2017 that I have used for Bela work for years and it is doing the same thing (not coming up). It is a Bela Mini board. I tried in Firefox and Chrome and no joy. It is up to date on OS Monteray 12.6

I tried a different Bela Mini board and it is doing the same thing. I tried a standard BBB Bela Board and it worked as usual. So have I missed or forgotten something about the Bel Mini?

It may depend on what version of the image you have on the BelaMini. Can you try and flash one SD card with the latest v0.3.8g from https://github.com/BelaPlatform/bela-image-builder/releases ?

Further investigation found the USB lead to be faulty. Sorry to have troubled you - I shall be suspicuos of these in future.
