dimentorium Hi there, wanted to check if someone already tried to connect Trill sensors in a row instead of a star connection. I want to have 4 bars directly aside eahc other and it would safe a lot of space if I can use one time four wires instead of four times four. Thanks! Phil
giuliomoro not sure I understand exactly what you are describing, buy you can wire the sensors in parallel. That's exactly what happens when connecting them to the Trill Hub. Remember to have some 2k2 pull-up resistors from your SDA and SCL to 3v3.
dimentorium Hi Giuliomoro, hope I can describe it. Arduino GND => Bar 1 GND => Bar 2 GND => Bar 3 GND ... so that I have 2 wires on each pad of the bar So the lanes on the Hub are also going through all connectors? Then its the same I want to do (just with soldering)
giuliomoro dimentorium So the lanes on the Hub are also going through all connectors? yes sounds like a good plan overall.
dimentorium Hi Giulio, just in case someone else has the same question ;-) Connection works quite well and makes cabling much easier, as the brackets on the Trills are large enough.
Keyi Following the thread. Does it need to have 2k2 pull-up resistors when using the trill hub? If so, what would be the connection?
giuliomoro Trill Hub contains the 2k2 pull-up resistors on SCL and SDA, so there is no need to add any additional resistors when using it.
