Bela mini flash once when powered on

We encountered a problem, hope to get some insights into solutions:

Tried to boost a lithium battery from 3.7v to 5.0v to work for bela mini. When testing the voltage of the boosted battery through an ammeter, it flashed a value around 9v, and then dropped and stabilized at 5v . We thought it was successful and connected it with the bela mini. One problem that the pin of battery was inserted into a Vout pin the first time. And then, after the correct insertion, the Bela mini wasn't powered on. We connected it to the computer and the blue LED flashed briefly once. Was it died?

Hmm if you ever put more than 5.5V into SYS_VIN or USB_VIN the board will likely die. Same if you plug something into Vout I guess ... The behaviour the board is displaying is that of a dead one, which is in line with what you should expect from what you are describing. I am afraid you'll need a new board.
