If I understand correctly, you want to communicate via MIDI from a host computer to Bela. This is done connecting Bela as usual to the host through its mini-B or micro-B USB port, the same you'd use to access the IDE and program it. This port should show up on the host with Manufacturer: Augmented Instruments Ltd and Model: Bela. As usual it may take one minute or so for the device to appear on the host after you boot the board. On the device, this port's name is hw:0,0,0, which is not by default enabled in PureData. To enable it in PureData, you'd need to add the following to your patch:
