Hey everyone!
I just borrowed a BELA Board with a 8GB micro SD card from my university yesterday and despite following the "How to get started" section on learn.bela.io I can't get the IDE to run. Here is what happened so far:
I initially just tried plugged the board with the SD card into my windows pc and tried to load bela.local --> "site not found". Therefore I followed the "How to get started" guide and realized that no led is flashing in a heartbeat pattern after a couple seconds. I tried updating the board with a macbook (https://learn.bela.io/using-bela/bela-techniques/updating-bela/#updating-with-the-update_board-script), but only got errors "device is not respoding". That didn't change after i installed the driver for Mac OS according to https://learn.bela.io/using-bela/bela-techniques/network-setup/. I then tried to flash the SD card (https://learn.bela.io/using-bela/bela-techniques/managing-your-sd-card/#flash-an-sd-card-using-balena-etcher) which caused no errors. Now, when the board is booting up with the SD card one led flashes with the heartbeat pattern. However I am still not able to access bela.local or 192.168.6.2 or 192.168.7.2. I then tried booting it up without the SD card on my windows PC. Again, the led flashes with the hearbeat pattern (although i haven't tried that prior to flashing the SD) and bela.local is not accessable. However now the windows explorer opened up with a "BeagleBone Getting Started" Drive. In it was a getting started guide which suggested installing the BONE_D64 driver. The installation fails completely even when running it as an administrator
(sorry it's in german)
I have no further idea on what elese to try to get it running. I have a windows pc and mac available to test out any of your suggestions.
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
Chris
