Unable to Initialise Audio error when running basic project.

Hello there.

I just received a Bela cape and am trying to get things up and running. I have successfully flashed Bela to the EMCC of my beaglebone black and am able to access the Bela IDE. However, when I try and build/run the basic project I get a "Error: unable to initialise audio" error.

Any idea what could be causing the issue? Please let me know if there's any info I can grab from the console that might help.

Did you flash the v0.3.8c image? It had an issue with non MiniMulti boards that I just fixed today, if you update your board using this procedure you should be fine. I will put up another image later today or tomorrow.

Oh good. I installed v0.3.8d and everything seems to be working fine now. Guess I hopped on the Bela bandwagon at a weird point 🙂

🙂 you'll find that Supercollider is broken on v0.3.8d is broken and you need to v0.3.8e (or - again - a core code update) for that to work. Apologies for the confusion!

No worries. One expects these types of things when working with open source hw/sw. Always gonna be a gotcha! 🙂
