Longer-range ToF distance sensors with Bela?

So I've been scouting the field, as I'd like to put the Bela to use in large indoor spaces, and the venerable HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance sensor - good though it is - won't get to the distances I'm looking for; also I want to eventually move outside ultrasonic and have a multi-pronged approach. Any opinions on the Terabee range? I was looking at the TeraRanger Evo 15m, and through its specs and user manual, trying to figure it out and how its power requirements would fit with the Bela - it needs 5V, and can interface via I2C / UART (3.3V) or Micro-USB. As I'm completely new to most of this, I'd welcome any appraisals - is it a conceivable match for Bela?

I have no experience with this. The two specs/user manual links you provided give me 403 (forbidden). These seem to work for me

The latter's section 4.3 describes the I2C protocol. By the looks of it, it's fairly simple and it can be implemented on Bela with a handful of C++ lines. So yes, I'd say this (with the I2C backboard) would be a good match with Bela.

My apologies. They were working for me as long as I was logged in to the Bela forum myself, but I checked after your own post - they don't work when I'm logged out. Anyway the links you have there are the ones alright.

Okay that's good news, thank you. Always good to check before I head off barking up the wrong tree. I'll go and do my homework and see how far I get...
