IDE slow

I've recently bought a bela salt and salt+. The IDE is very slow when interfacing with computer via usb.
I also have regular bela and that was not so slow.

Any idea what could be causing this ?

Linux Debian 10
Connecting via USB, and manually setting ip on one the ethernet adapters, disabling the other one (the one that says Linux Foundation Ethernet).

A running program will make the IDE slow. Does this happen also while the IDE is not running? It could also happen if you have a large number of projects on the board. I will push some fixes for the latter issue soon.

Yes, it only happens when a project is running. But since I have it configured to run a project on startup, the first time I start the IDE it is already slow. I don't have a large number of projects, besides the ones already there from factory I have 3 or 4 more.

Then it's expected. You have to stop the currently running program to make the IDE responsive again.
